I was recently featured on Belinda Subraman’s Gypsy Art Show. Such an honor.

Belinda has long been a promoter of all things poetry. She once featured me in an interview on her online radio show. It’s always an honor to be featured by Belinda Subraman.

In this case she published the cover photo image of my digital chapbook “I Like War” along with vital information on the book, which is available through Amazon.

As a part of the preview, you can read one of the poems in the collection titled “Piano.” It’s quite provocative, if I say so myself. I hope you’ll check it out. If you like the poem, buy my chapbook. It’s only 99 cents.

As a relatively unknown writer and poet, I like to expand my opportunities for people getting to know me. One way of doing this is by making the barriers to accessing my work smaller. That’s why “free” is such a good price for new authors.

I like to give away free copies of my e-books in the hopes that readers will download them, like them, and go on to read other things I have written – poems and stories.

Today, my e-book “I Like War” is available for free at Amazon.

If you don’t own a Kindle, you can still read the book. You can download the free e-reader for the PC and read it that way. If you are a Mac user, then you can download the free Kindle app for the Mac.

Another book I’d like to tell you about is Dinkle Dorkle And Other Nut Cases. It’s free at Smashwords and available for the Kindle, Nook, or any other e-reader you may own.

If you do decide to download one of these e-books, I’d appreciate it if you’d write me a review on either Amazon or Smashwords for the book you do download. And thanks for reading.

On Smashwords.

So you might be asking, “Just what is a Dinkle Dorkle?” Well, he’s a character. And I DO mean character. You’ll have to check him out.

“Dinkle Dorkle And Other Nut Cases” is a book of 30 short poems. By short I mean Twitter short. 140 characters or less. First published on Twitter in 2009, these poems have been compiled into an e-book that is now available at Smashwords and at Amazon.com.

The Amazon version is currently priced at 99 cents, but Amazon will reduce the price to free as soon as they figure out the book is available for free at Smashwords. I encourage you to check it out. 30 poems. Silly, whimsical, wacky. In a word, these are all nut cases.

Written by me. Published by World Class Poetry.

Check ‘em out. I implore you.

Now, here are the latest Bizarro fiction reviews I posted on Amazon.

Absurd Fiction For Adults

So I finally got around to building my first Amazon Listmania List. It’s titled “Absurd Fiction For Adults.” Believe me, it lives up to its name. I’d be honored if you’d check it out.

And that’s it folks. Till next time.

It will be available for free ONLY for those 24 hours as a Kindle e-book download.

The book was written in 2005-2007 while in Iraq and immediately after. Some of the poems reflect on the war and others don’t. It’s a small chapbook but should give you an idea of my poetic style. I’d be honored if you downloaded it.

If you feel so inclined, also give it a review.

Again, the book will be free on Amazon as a Kindle download for free all day on April 11.

If you don’t have a Kindle, you can download the Kindle for desktop at Amazon free of charge. Or you can read any Kindle e-book in the cloud. Bottom line, you don’t have to own a Kindle to read a Kindle e-book, and that includes “I Like War.”

Battle up!

However, yesterday I decided to make them all available to Amazon Prime members through the Amazon Kindle Lending Library.
Unlimited time on lending! No return date. That’s pretty awesome. And they’re free.

16-year-old Jake Johnson committed himself to publishing an anthology of short stories every month for a year. He’s now about half way through that year. So far, I’ve read two of those anthologies and I’ve got to say that he’s done a pretty good job.

Jake’s Monthly is only available on Smashwords. However, because Smashwords publishes e-books for several formats, that’s good news. It means you can read it on the Kindle, the Nook, the Sony reader, on your PC as a PDF, in your web browser as HTML, In JavaScript, in plain text, on your Palm reader, the Kobo reader, the iPad, and various other e-readers.

Below are links to two of my reveiws of Jake’s Monthly anthologies – the Bizarro Anthology and the Punk Anthology. After clicking each link, scroll to the bottom of the page to read the review.

I highly recommend reading all of Jake’s anthologies you can get your hands on. Enjoy the reading.
